Mr. Shailesh Saraf

FOUNDER AND BIO ENTREPRENEUR

It is not my credentials as a Surface Coating Technologist, enabled me to undertake this effort, it was my passion. I am a student of nature and the science behind it. I grew up in cities nestled by the Western Ghats, this 150 million year old wonder(older than Himalayan mountain range) has raised thousands of species over the years against all odd. My goal is to gather the best minds in science and technology to study this ecosystem, and to create a resource that is freely accessible to everyone


Nivedita Joshi

NATURALIST AND FILMMAKER

A naturalist and filmmaker, she is fortunate to have collaborated with some of India's renowned filmmakers on various wildlife films. One notable project, 'The Tiger Who Crossed The Line,' earned the National Award for Best Environmental Film, for which she served as a Postproduction assistant. Additionally, she has created diverse films and teasers covering various topics, collaborating with Biospheres and the Forest Department. Her film, 'Kau Tye Crow,' received a special mention at the Kirloskar Vasundhara Film Festival. Through her work, she actively explores, discovers, and contributes to the conservation of nature.


Viraj Athalye

NATURE EXPLORER AND PHOTOGRAPHER

Despite his background in Mechanical engineering, his passion and interest have led him into the field of nature and wildlife conservation. Based in Ratnagiri, he is a wildlife and nature explorer as well as a photographer. Over the last 5 years, he has collaborated with various NGOs such as BNHS and SACON, working closely with associated researchers in the field.


Shivani Waghmare

WILDLIFE RESEARCHER

A graduate in Zoology and a postgraduate with an MSc in Environmental Science and Technology, she is certified for her thesis research on leopard and human conflict, focusing on observing changes in leopard habitat and behavior. Her expertise extends to conducting research and surveys on ongoing wildlife conflicts and their conditions. Additionally, she explores the traditions and cultures of tribal communities. Her knowledge encompasses key concepts such as climate change, sustainability, urban area development, and green cities.

She has collaborated with reputable organizations and scientists, contributing to projects related to biodiversity through field surveys and eco-tourism initiatives in the Western Ghats and Deccan Plateau. Her passion extends to writing blogs and articles, and her overarching goal is to contribute to the preservation and protection of wildlife.


Avinash Agale

AGRICULTURE EXPERT

He holds a Masters in Botany and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Phycology (Botany) at the Department of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has previously worked as a Project Investigator on a project titled "Consolidated Survey of Cotton Grows from Parbhani District." Presently, he is engaged in a project entitled "Diversity of Cyanobacteria from Biological Soil Crusts (BSCs) of Pune District, Maharashtra."


Vaishali Sharma

TAXONOMY, M.SC BOTANY

She is studying M.Sc in Botany (Taxonomy) at Pune University. She was a part of a project on scientific survey for identification of plants in rural areas. Also she possesses extensive knowledge of plant taxonomy, excels in plant identification, and conducts thorough surveys in the field.
